George Washington Lafayette Swor was the sixth child of Elizabeth Fowler and William C. Swor. "Wash" was b. 11 July 1842 in Henry Co., TN.He served in Co. A, 5th Regiment under command of Col. Wm. E. Travis. "Wash" lost his left hand in the Battle of Perryville, KY, on 8 Oct. 1862. He m. Mary Isabel Lemonds in 1865. They had six children. After his wife's death he m. Mollie Rogers. They had two children. "Wash" died05 June 1920 in Henry Co., TN and is buried in Bethel Cemetery, Henry, TN.
