1742, April 25 - Bath Co., NC. Abraham signed a petition from "Protestant Dissenters of Bay a nd Neuse Rivers" dated April 25, 1742. The text is:
PETITION FROM PROTESTBNT DISSENTERS OF BAY AND NEUSE RIVERS
"North Carolina Ss.To the Honourable John Montgomery, Esq., Chief Justice of this Province.
The Humble Pet. of several Protestant Dissenters within the afores'd Province.
We your Honours, Petitioners Protestant dissenters, Inhabitants of Bay River and Nuse Rive r humbly shew that we your honour's petitioners have been often interrupted & finally debarre d meeting together in Bath County for want of a Registered Meeting-house in said County, as t he Law directs.
Therefore in order for accomplishing the same, we addressed the County Court held in Bath i n June last with our humble petition for a house at Bay River to be Registered for our Public k Worship, which although the law allows us that priviledge yet it was Refused. Therefore a s Children to a father, for Relief, so we come to your honour, humbly praying that vour honou r would be graciously pleased to treat our petition & grant us the house of Mr. Robert Sprin g & the house of Mr. Nathaniel Draper at Flea Point formeriy belonging to Mr. Amos Cutrel, th at we may have the sd houses Registered for places of public Worship; it being a Reasonable r equest agreeable to the Laws of the Land.We doubt not but your honour will in Justice gran t us our Request, your honour's compliance herein shall be thankfully acknowledged by your ho nour's poor petitioners & very humble Servants, and in duty bound will ever pray. 1768, December 21 - Craven Co., NC. On a copy out of a page of a book titled at the top of th e page "North Carolina Land Entries Sept. 1766-Dec. 1768" (page 123) is the entry: "5190. war rant dated Dec. 21, 1768 Samuel Smith enters 300 ac in Craven Co on N side of Nuese R and E s ide of Little Swifts Cr; border: joins lines of John Dunn, Hossington Warren & Abm. Warren; i ncludes vacant land between said lines and said creek." It's unknown to me if the Abraham men tioned here is for the father or for his son.
1769 - Craven Co., NC. Abraham Warren (unknown if Sr. or Jr.) pays taxes. It lists one male a nd one female slave. Page 212 on page with title at top "North Carolina Taxpayers".
1771, September - Craven Co. NC. "A deed of gift from Abraham Warren to Jeremiah Warren for O ne Hundred acres land was proved by Abraham Warren junior one of the subscribing witnesses. " "Craven County, Court Minutes 1767-1775" page 126 of records, page 41 of book.
1774, September - Craven Co., NC. "Deed of Sale from Abraham Warren to Moses Ernul for 100 ac res of land in Craven County was proved by James Pearce one of the subscibing witnesses." "Cr aven County, Court Minutes 1767-1775" page 171. I don't know if this was Abraham Sr. or Jr.
