Cornelis Stephen MULDER787, 788 was born 1648 in Nykerk, Holland788, died in Claverack, Columbia County, NY788.He married Hilletje Lookermans, daughter of Pieter Janse Lookermans and Maria Teller.

Cornelius Stepenses4 Mulder was born in Nykerk, Holland.(24) His body was inter red in Claverack, Columbia County, NY.
He married Hillitje Lookermans. Hillitje(25) was the daughter of Pieter Janse L ookermans and Maria Teller. Came to America in 1660 at the age of 21 and settled at Fort Oran ge (Albany). He was named in a paternity suit of a child born to one Styntje Clas along wit h Jacques Jennyn. The court could not determine between them and ordered them to each pay on e half toward the support of the child for three years form 1771. In Jan 1684 he was appointe d the road master from Clavarack to Kinderhook and to the shore of the Hudson River. He obtai ned a quit-claim for land in Clavarack form Frederick Claessen in Jan 1676. The piece of lan d was known as "Pruyn Vlachte" (Plum Flat) and was located on Maiden Lane. Latter in 1718 h e obtained 1000 acres of land in Claverack from Hendrich Van Rensselaer, the young patroon o f the Lower Manor. Settling permanently in Claverack he is said to have been buried on the fa rm of his son, Stephanis, though no stone marks his grave.
