He served in the 15th Maine Infantry, Company D during the Civil War.
Rachel A. Bubar applied for vetran's benefits (pension) to obtain his pension benefits.
Sherman is listed in the 1880 Kingman Census- his name is spelled as Boober.This also shows that he is "widowed", and his occupation as a "lumberman".The Census also shows that he was born in Maine.Not sure if this is correct information, as we always thought his family came from New Brunswick.
