At that time, he was living in Madison County with one of his sons, Jeptha Patterson Windham.He probably died shortly after that 1880 Census.He may have died in Madison County, Mississippi, or he may have died in Scott County or Smith County, Mississippi, where many of his family still lived. It has been said that he is buried at the old Lutheran Church Cemetery in southwestern Scott County, Mississippi. On February 20, 1870, this Samuel B. Windham wrote a letter from Smith County, Mississippi, to his Uncle John Darby Windham in Texas.A copy of this letter survived and in it Samuel B. Windham writes about many of the Windham relatives. This Samuel B. Windham was one of the first to join the CSA when the War Between the States started in 1861. During the War Between the States, he served in Singleton Guards, Company G, 6th Battalion (46th Infantry).He was a farmer. It appears that he had three daughters and no sons. Apparently he moved to Arkansas sometime after 1880.There was a S. B. Windham who was a member of the Witfield Masonic Lodge at Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas.This S.B. Windham died 25 July 1889.It is not known for sure, but this is probably the same as Samuel B. Windham.
ii. Martha A. Windham.Martha was born in 1826 probably in Wilcox County, Alabama.She married George Washington Barner.Martha died at an unknown age. Her parents moved from Wilcox County, Alabama, to Dallas County, Alabama, sometime within a few years of when she was born. She was born in northeast Wilcox County, Alabama, or southeast Dallas County, Alabama.

Thomas on 7 January 1854 probably in Smith County, Mississippi.Page died on 13 December 1913 Homewood, Scott County, Mississippi, at age 81.His body was buried in December 1913, at Noblin Cemetery (also known as Old Ox Graveyard), Homewood, Scott County, Mississippi, USA. He was born in southeastern Dallas County, Alabama, a few miles north of the Dallas County and Wilcox County line. He was a farmer.
