Sweetwater,Tennessee 37874 423-337-6727 | I have been researching my paternal ancestors the ECKEL family going from Peter Eckel b. 1 July 1812 White Pine, Jefferson County, Tennessee to Valentin Eckel b. abt 1656 in Germany. The Eckel allied families are Swingle, Jollay, Haggard, Temple, Osborne, Robinson and Sharp.My maternal ancestors are the WOODY family going from William Oscar Woody b. 18 July 1860 NC (lived in Concord, Knox County, Tennessee to William Woody b. abt 1720 in North Carolina.The Woody allied families are Beavers, Holder, Blalock, Ownby, Porter, Maples, Proffitt and McMahan. I have also been researching my husband's paternal ancestors the MELTON family going from Charley J. Melton b. 13 February 1889 McMinn County, Tennessee to William Melton b. abt 1625 England. The Melton allied families are Wright, White, Bunch, Norman, McKinney, Bostic and Walker.His maternal ancestors are the ROBINSON family going from Charley T. Robinson b.1 October 1848 Loudon County, Tennessee to Edwin Robinson b. abt 1814 probably Virginia.The Robinson allied families are Gilreath, Long, Johnson, Guinn, Shields, Waddell and Key.
