Notes for William B Woodward:DEATH OFWM B WOODWARD MAY 29 1885
Information has reached this city of teh death of Mr William B Woodward, formerly a resident of this city but who removed to Denver, Colorado for the benifit of his health. He was a long time foreman in the Iowa Iron Works, and afterwards be came a member of the firm of Woodward, and Strinskey, who were engaged inteh foundry business. The firm dissolved about a year ago when Mr Woodward took his departure for Colorado. in the hope of benifiting his health. Having become conscious of the fact that quick consumption had fastened itsself upon him.
His wife daughter of ex Market Master Frith, accompied him to Denver and tenderly nursed him until the final summons came. He leaves a wife and three childrento morn his untimely death. His brother has gone to Denver to bring the remains to this city for internment. deceased was a member of Dubuque Harmony Lodge No 3 of Free Masons, Harmony Lodge No 2 of the Odd Fellows, Dubuque Lodge No 9 Anciet Order of United Workman.

Foreman machinest for Rouse, Dean& Co Iowa Iron Works residence 1767 Jackson Street is a native of England and was born April 5 1846 he came to Canada in 1851 and came to Dubuque the same year.
He grew to maturity and learned a machinest trade in Dubuqueand entered the employe of Rouse and Dean in 1864, he has held the position of foreman since 1877. He is a member of Harmony Lodge No 9 A.F.A.M. and of Harmony Lodge no 2 I.O.O.F also dubuque lodge No 9 A.O.U.W. ------Mr woodward was united in marriage to Miss Amelia Frith of Dubuque 8 May 1871; They have three children William, ThomasE and Robert.
