I have been researching the German side of the Fittje family for about 30 years. We began with the family in the mid 18th century whose home was in Edewecht, Germany.My Grandfather, Gerhart Fittje, came to the U. S. in 1894 from Edewecht. He settled in Florissant, Mo. and married Alma Poggemoeller.
We have completed it up to this point and would like to share the information we have with other members of the family. If anyone has any added information please share it with me.
