Cousin Dick NEWMAN is searching for information concerning descendants of Anders Johannesson that may still be living in Sweden. Anders was an older brother of Magnus Johannesson. Magnus was the father of Sven Johan Magnusson (Sven John Monson)
Anders, b. 21 feb. 1830 lived in Tavelsas parish. He married Sara Lisa in 1854 and they remained in Tavelsas parish until about 1860, when they then moved to Ostra Torsas. Anders and Sara Lisa had several children, one of them was Carl Gustav Andersson, my (Dick Newman) grandfather, who emigrated to the US in 1880. Some of Anders other children also moved to the US, but some descendants may have remained in Sweden.
If any of this looks familiar I (Dick Newman) have considerably more information on Anders and Sara Lisa's children, but as yet no link to any living relations in Sweden.
