Very even tempered,contented and uncomplaining. Loved his family and wasdearly loved in return.Can be pictured sitting in his favorite easychair each evening after supper withhis newspaper and watching anysport that should happen to be on TV.Also loved any competition fromhorse shoes to a good game of cards.His only over indulgence was his addiction to cigarettes which was the eventual cause of his death.Dad was called Pop by his sons-inlaw and daughter inlaw all of whomenjoyed his company.He was affectinately known to his family as the"The White Heeded Deel (devil)".At the time of his death he had 9 grandchildren 5 boys and 4 girls with whom he was much more openlyaffectionate than even his own children.He was not above placing a minor wager on the ponies which he thought was a huge secret from momwho was on to all wee games.Dad was a creature of habit and one couldset their clock by his comings and goings.Dad belonged to the Masonic Order.He was fondly know as Scotty by his co-workers..
