Lydia Schaffer Streitt
1922-2006
Longview, Lydia Mary Streitt, 84, of Longview died July 16, 2006.The daughter of John and Wilhelmina (Gellner) Schaffer, she was born on Jan 16, 1922, in Blackfoot, Idaho.She attended school in Battleground until the 10 grade.On Jan 11, 1941, she married Nile G. Streitt in Vancouver.A housewife and mother, she and her husband lived in Vancouver, Longview and often resided in Ocean Park.
Survivors include her husband Nile Streitt, daughter Carol (Keith) Neumann; son John (Sharon) Streitt; grandaughters Elizebeth Browne, Keri Fleming, Kimberly Hartman, Colleen Neumann; grandson Brian Neumann; and 14 great grandchildren.Her daughter, Darlene Fenton, preceded her in death.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 29th at the Fair Oaks Recreation Hall, 5404 NE 121st Avenue, Vancouver.Memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.Arrangements by Columbia Funeral Service of Longview.
