Please contact me if you wish to addor correct information about your family OwenBeagO’Donnell lived in Nesbitt’s Bay or Port Inis Mil, Lackenagh, Burtonport at the beginning of the 19th century. His father James was the first to live there, having come from Inniscoo Island. Owen Beag Married Madgie O'Donnell (Meabha Hughie Mhoir) from the neighboring town land ofMilltown , They had one daughter, Mary and two sons, Frank and Johnny my G/Grandfather, who married Margaret Sweeney of Acres and had 5 girls and 3 boys one of which was James my Grandfather. James married Margaret (Maggie) Walsh from Balintra in St. Edward's Church, Philadelphia 28 Oct., 1903 Returned to Ireland some time after and went back again to Philadelphia on the Caledonia ship from Londonderry, September 17th 1905. with my father (born in Balintra). Their other children were Elizabeth and Margaret both born in Phil. The storey goes that James was employed as Conductor on a streetcar and in 1911 died in an accident. He is buried Holy Cross cemetery, Yeadon, PA. Section H, Lot 40, North grave Range 13.See photo below. Some time later Maggie came back to Lackenagh,where she was known as "Maggie the Nurse" and married Owen Yanky Boyle,they had one son Eugene (Fr Leonard Eugene Boyle)
