Dora Pearl (Ogilvie) Thorne, 78, formerly of Salisbury, Havelock and Moncton passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003 at the Jordan Lifecare Center, The Glades. Born at Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Walton and Clara (Rogers) Colpitts. Dora was a former member of the Salisbury United Church, Trinity United Church, Havelock, the U.C.W. , and the Lower Ridge Women's Institute , and in her early working life was employed at the Brunswick Hotel and later worked as a hairdresser. Survived by her children, Melanie O'Neill (John) of Brampton On., Karen Proudfoot (Jim) of Hampton, Terrance Ogilvie (Wendy Taylor) of Salisbury; sisters, Iva Reid,On., Eva Pollock, Petitcodiac; brothers, Louis Colpitts The Glades, Gordon Colpitts Salisbury, Eugene Colpitts Moncton. Surviving also are eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Pearson Thorne; a sister, Greta Hope; a brother, Bill Colpitts. Interment at Fair Haven Cemetery, Moncton.
