Lucinda was born in the Odell house on Rte 276.After her marriage, she and Will continued to live there with her mother.When Susanna died in 1910, the property was willed to all five children, but over the next six years, Lucinda bought out each of her siblings and owned it outright.In 1920, after Will acquired the current Bullis farm, they moved across the street, and Lucinda sold her property to Arthur Grimshaw.

Bullis Family Genealogy lists his year of birth as 1878, claiming that a James was born in 1874.Since James was probably William's middle name, these two are probably one and the same person.William was baptized (as James) in Rouses Point on May 31, 1874 (Godparents were John Nolan and Margaret McManns).Also, the 1880 census lists his birthplace as New York.Upon his mother Sarah's death in 1916, most of her real and personal estate were bequeathed to her daughter, Mary E., and son Emmet. According to Mabel Bullis, they moved for a short time to New Haven, CT during WWI, but then returned to Champlain.Will then bought out his siblings and acquired sole title to the 100 acre farm on May 5, 1920, transferred by Emmet F. Bullis, executor of the will of Sarah J. Bullis.He and Lucinda then moved there from across the road.By 1923, the farm was jointly owned by Will and Lucinda.
