Fredrick.....a private in G.G. Powells Batallion of South Carolina Militia. Served as Captain and Comissary of purchase under Gen. Sumter during 1780-1782 . Salley, Doc; P 93,A.A> 4608; M642; W 549
Moses.....he served alternately in the Militia from 12 May 1780- to 15 Sept 1881 under Capt George Aubrey And Col. Brandon. A.A. 4609; x1217;x2962

-the earliest Lipham record is Frederick Jacob Lipham. In 1753 he purchased a lot in the town of Staughton Va. In 1759 a Jacob Lipham was given a land grant of 240 acres on the north side of the Pee Dee river.
