Palmers from Worcestershire, England
| I am researching the Palmer family that originated in the Midlands, England. My Tree begins with William Palmer. I have no knowledge of where William was born but I believe I have his marriage details. William was married to Elizabeth Robinson in the Ipsley Parish on 6th April 1795.They had 5 children that I know of: Thomas christened 17th January 1796 Ann christened 6th May 1804 Hannah christened 14th June 1807 Samuel christened 8th December 1811 John christened 28th January 1814 (ggg grandfather) I have no detail of the first 4 children at this time (more researching to do!) John married Amey King (b Budbrook c1805) in St. Philips, Birmingham in 1835.In the 1841 census, they were living in Yardley with 7 children, Edwin (b c1836), John (b c1837), Emma (b c1839), William (b c1841 - gg grandfather), Elizabeth (b c1843), Thomas (b c1846) & Henry (b August 1847). William married Fanny Thornhill (b c1834, Manchester) in the Parish church, Edgbaston in 1863.In the 1881 census, they were living in Bournbrook with 4 children, William Henry (b 1864 - g grandfather), Charles Edwin Thornhill (b 1865), Alfred John (b 1867)& Albert Edward (b 1870). William Henry married Almira Eugenie Evans (b c1868, Ireland) and they had 3 children, Leslie Howard (b 1896 - grandfather), Eric (b 1898) & Wilfrid. I am particularly interested in William's ancestors & descendants of his children, Thomas, Ann, Hannah & Samuel. More information on John's son Thomas would be appreciated. In addition, I would also like to find out more about Alfred (my g grandfather's brother). Also, I would like to know more about my Maternal Grandfather, Eric Smart (b 1919, London) and his ancestors, siblings, etc. I would be more than happy to share the information I have. | Palmers from Worcestershire, England Updated June 25, 2008 |
