Edwin Thomas Kempton Parry (b. March 24, 1899, d. November 23, 1965)

Edwin Parry was born in Wales.He was the only son of Thomas Parry and Rose (Kempson) Parry.His mother survived him and lived to be more than 100 years old. Ed, as he was called, and his wife Sarah went over to Wales, by ship, and visited his mother just prior to his death.He also was survived by a sister, Mrs. J. B. Thomas, Wales, and eight grandchildren. Edwin served in the Royal Air Force during WW1 as a crewman on the planes. He later worked in the mines in Wales and then came over to America in the early 1930's for work. He met Sara Allen who worked as a secretary at the Celanese. One day while changing a light bulb where Sara was he nailed her shoes to the floor as a joke. She always took her shoes off at work. Ed was retired from the Celanese as a technician.He was
a member of the Episcopal Church, Mt. Savage; Kemp Lodge 154, AF&AM; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1273 and the Corrigansville Volunteer Fire Department.
