|The EYSTER family centers in York Co., PA and has variant spellings such as Oyster, Oester, and Eister. Other branches are Lentz, Stallman, Strausbaugh, Ehrhart.Grandfather Eyster was a painter as were his father and grandfather.|
The McGARVEY family includes McDole, Donaldson, Dye, and Davis. The Davis family came from Wales and settled in PA. Most of the family ended up in PA, later making their way to Ohio and California.Stops in NY and Michigan seem to be on the record.
The PARKS family includes Campbell, Ackerman, Caudle, Perry, Crain.The Campbell line has twins.The Parks have been from VA, AL, TN, NC, AR, KS to WA to CA and most states in between.
The ROBBINS family is the branch that married into the California Carrillo family.Thomas Robbins, born in MA, sailed as first mate in the late 1820's aboard the Boston ships which made their way to CA, pre-statehood, where he married Encarnacion Carrillo.T. Robbins was born in 1801 and I have not found his parents or been able to track all of his descendents. Son, Juan Jose Robbins, made his way to Idaho and married there, writing for a local paper under the name SNIBBOR. Other surnames include Meeker, Daniels and Leigh.Somehow the McCurtains fit into this family but we are not certain of the realtionships at this moment.
