Priceless portrait of my 5th Great Grandmother, Tabitha Simmons, born in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Tabitha was married to George Phelps (1757-1803) who was an "Indian Sharpshooter" and friend of Daniel Boone at Fort Boonesborough. Tabitha and George lived on their farm near Tribble Branch of Otter Creek in present-day Red House, KY in Madison County. She is a direct descendant of Mareen Duvall of Colonial Maryland. This picture was graciously donated by my multi-cousin and talented historian-genealogist, Mary Anne Collins Stokes-Moore of Louisville, Kentucky. Thank you, Anne!
