The "Gardner Family of Maine" Home Page
| Several years ago my Mother gave me a book "The Gardner Family of Maine" researched and written by Stanley Israel Gardner (Copyright 1986 by Stanley Israel Gardner).His work ended with my moms generation.I have been working for several years to finish his work to the present.Many family lines are in this book, they are: GARDNER, GARDINER, RANKIN, TOLMAN, WALKER, ELLIS, TILLEY, WILCOX, DYER, HEWS, WELTS, CHANDLER,FLANIGAN, COFFIN, BIRD, SIMPSON, MARTIN, RAFFORD, BECKWITH, HOWE, HOWES, BOYNTON, SYLVESTER, DUNN, COLLIER, CARTER, RAND, MC GLAUFLIN, HUGHES, REMIE, DROST and ROBINSON. The Two Primary Lines are GARDNER and WILCOX, which happens to be the Grandparents of Stanley Israel Gardner ( the author of this book). Rufus Freeman Gardner is his Grandfather (my Great Grandfather) and Phoebe Jane Wilcox is his Grandmother.The other lines are limited, some have more information in them than others. Some of the family lines listed above I will be entering in the future.I will upload the reports of each line as I complete entering the info I have of them. If you would like the info that I have from this book (that I have not yet entered)for any of the lines mentioned, feel free to contact me. I have encluded a report of the information that I have entered so far from the book and of info that I have collected that is not in the book.I will be adding more in the days to come.If you have any questions about the info listed here or would like to contribute info that I don't have here please contact me. The info here is correct to the best of my knowledge.I feel that Stanley Gardner searched the records and only included info he had documents on.I Myself have not done research to confirm this info.
