Immigrated in 1774 from Yorkshire on the ship "Two Friends". Soon after arriving in Sackville he married Dorcas Easterbrooks. He began farming in Upper Sackville, and in 1791 moved to Wood Point, N.B.
For FORT CUMBERLAND in NOVA SCOTIA :
The good ship called the Two Friends , a prime Sailer. (Robert Shepherd,
Commander, a Person of good Character), well accommodated for Goods and
Passengers, is to sail from Hull the latest the latter End of the second
month called February, and will carry children from one to ten years old
at two Guineas each; those above, three Guineas each, sucking Children
gratis: any kind of Merchandise or Household Goods at four Pounds per
ton__
All Passengers are desired to be a Hull by the 24th of next month at the
latest.

of Skelton, near Guisborough; of Henry Richardson, Flaxdressor in
Whitby; of Thomas Parkinson, Flour Dealer in Hull; of John Smith, farmer
in Sheriff-Hutton; or Milner and Fawcett, manufacturers of Sail cloth
and Drilla in Malton; or Nathaniel Bell, jun. Linendraper in York.

Sarah & Nicholas lived in Minudie & Wood Point. On her stone the dates are" Died Dec 19 1856 aged 82 years & 9 months". Her birthdate would have been September 1774. But: her father did not arrive in the Province until May of 1774. Either the inscription is out by a year, or Dorcas was pregnant when she took up with Pickering.
