Obit from the Roanoke Times, Friday 1/6/1939. " David B. Foster.Funeral service for David B. Foster, age 77, who died Wednesday night at the home of his son, W. E. Foster, will be conducted at Oakeys Chapel at 11:00 a.m. today.Internment will be in Fairview.Pall bearers will be Jack Pearman, Oscar Pearman, Raymond Foster, Orman Foster, Nathan Harvey and Frank Mauck.Surviving are four daughters:Mrs. Elmer Fringer and Mrs. Arthur Wertz, Lithia, Mrs. Albert Smith, Salem, VA; Miss Kathleen Foster, Roanoke, VA.Two sons:W. E. Foster and H. W. Foster, Roanoke, VA.Mr. Foster made his home here for 52 years but moved to Lithia in 1909, returning here three years ago because of failing health."

Notice of death of Mrs. Della Davis Foster, wife of D. B. Foster of Lithia.Mrs. Foster died at three o'clock yesterday, October 27, 1933, at the home of her son, W. E. Foster, 728 Marshall Avenue, S.W., following a lingering illness.Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children:W. E. Foster, Roanoke, son. D. Foster, H. W. Foster and Margaret Foster and Mrs. Elmo Fringer of Lithia, Kathleen Foster, Roanoke, Mrs. Albert Smith, Salem and a sister, Mrs. T. R. Harvey, Roanoke, and A. T. Davis, New York.Fourteen grandchildren.Funeral will be conducted at the Church of the Brethren at 4 o'clock, Monday afternoon by the Rev. E. E. Miller and the Rev. C. C. Muse.Internment will be in Fairview.Active pallbearers will be W. J. Pearman, O. V. Pearman, L. J. Mauck, Nathan Harvey, Raymond Foster and Orman Foster.Honorary pallbearers will be W. E. Mauck, G.
