came to Plymouth in 1643
He was a farmer and lived at "Hobbs Hole" in Plymouth, the same local as the first Drew ancestor in America, John Drew.

Memorandum the 20th of october 1652
That Nathaniell Masterson of manchester in the Jurisdiction of the massachusets in new England in america planter doth acknowlidge that for an in consideracon of two young steers to him already delivered by John Churchill of the Towne of Plymouth in the Jurisdiction of New Plym: in new England Planter; hee hath barganed allianated and sold unto the said John Churchill a pcell of upland ground lying at Wellingsley in the Townshipp of Plymouth aforsaid being ten acres or therabouts bee it more or lesse which hee bought of John Dunham Junier together with all the houses out houses in and upon the said Land with all the ffences and ffencing upon the said Land with all and singulare the appurtenances belonging unto the said Land or any pte or pcell therof onely all the apple trees excepted which the said Nathaniel Masterson hath sold unto Nathaniell Morton and the said John Churchill doth heerby give libertie unto the said Nathaniell Morton either by himselfe or any for him to take up and Remove the said apple trees at any time betwixt the day of the date heerof and the ordinary time of the taking up and Removeing of trees in the spring of the yeare; the said ten acres of Land bee it more or lesse with all the said houses ffences and all other emunities privilidges and appurtenances with all the said Nathaniell Masterson his Right title and enterest of and into the said prmises and every pte and pcell therof the apple trees above mencioned excepted, to belonge unto the said John Churchill his heires and assignes for ever unto the onely pper use and behoofe of him the said John Churchill his heires and assignes for ever, provided that the said John Churchill is to winter the said steers the following winter into the bargan and incase that one of them die before they are housed then the said John Churchill is to pay unto Nathaniell Masterson ten shillings if both die then twenty and according to the same Rate if either or both of them die before the first of May next ensuing the date heerof onely Nathaniell Masterson is to run the venter of the said steers; and the said steers are to Run with the cattle of the said John Churchill the next summer and hee is to look unto them as his owne; and incase any controversy shall fall out about the said land or appurtenances; that the the said John Churchill is to cleare the said Nathaniell Masterson of whatsoever trouble shall or may fall in that behalfe; onely whatsoever power the said Nathaniell hath to defend the Right and title that hee hath unto the said Land, hee doth by these prsents convey over unto the said John Churchill; in as full mannor as hee the said Nathaniell held it
