[Genealogy.com, LLC WFT Vol. 49, Ed. 1, Tree #1294, Date of Import: Dec 25, 2000]
S. A. shows him as Shaw II MacIntosh.
Shaw Oig (the younger) MacIntosh. ( I am not sure if Oig is a middle name or if it means "the younger").
Who was the second Chief of the Clan and Governor at the Castle of Inverness for thirty years, which he bravely defended
when Thorfin, son of Harald MacMadach, the powerful Earl of Orkney and Caithness, made a raid into Inverness in 1196. His
brother Duncan was slain during this raid at the battle of Torvain. He married Mary, daughter of Sir Harry de Sandylands, and had
three sons, Fearchard (3rd Chief of the Clan), William, and Edward, ancestor of Monivard.
He died in 1209 or 1210, and was succeeded by his eldest son, Fearchard, who became third Chief of the Clan MacIntosh,
and took part in the expedition against Guthbred mac Donald mac William, in 1211, in Ross-shire. Fearchard died about 1240,
without issue, and was succeeded as Chief of the Clan by his nephew, Shaw MacIntosh; the next Shaw in this lineage.
