I am researching the families of ARBUCKLES, BASS,BREEDING (Wales), CLENDENIN, COLLINS, DAVIS, PHILLIPS, WARE, SHAVER'S. Regions were Christian Co,Ky and Greenbrier, WVa.(Father's)Breedings's arrived in Jamestown, Va. David W. Breeding wife Sarah (Davis) Breeding with Davids three brothers and four sons arrived in what is now Fayetteville, Tx in Dec 1832. The town of Fayetteville was named after the boyhood home of Phillip James Shaver. On November 6th, 2010 a historical marker was placed on the square in Fayetteville, Tx.Myself and my cousin Sue, and Linda of Fayetteville, collected documents, photos, applied for the marker we worked on this for over a year.Several family members of descendents went together to pay for the marker to be made and placed on the square. John Franklin Collins was the only member of his family to come to Texas. He was kin to Floyd Collins the Caver of Cave City Ky. John Davis son of David and Sarah Davis was rocked in the same cradle with Jefferson F. Davis, Pres. of the Confederacy. Families of BROWN, CARPENTER, DUNCAN, THOMAS, THOMPSON AND WILLISare my mothers family lines. Regions Christian Co, Ky, Van Buren, Ar, Ms, and Tn. They settled around Mertens, Tx and then on to Hill Co, Hillsboro, Tx. Also intrested in husband's families. BAUER, LANTZSCH, EULENFELD, RAESZ, AND RUMMEL. The Rummel's and Bauer's came in on the ship Neptune, at Galveston. Settled in Spring, Tx, then to Round Top, where the Rummel's and Bauer's had a cotton gin. Then on to Taylor and Beyersville Tx. Lantzsch came from Saxton, Germany. Would be willing to share information and would appreciate any input into my family lines. I recently went to Lewisburg, W. Virgina and walked the land and saw the wonderful town of Lewisburg. Member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas!
