I am researching my Grandparents and their families that were residing in Cambria And Blair Counties in Pennsylvania. My Grandfather was Gilbert Hollis and my Grandmother was Bessie Matilda Beers, who lived in Fallentimber, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
Gilbert's Father was David Hollis, son of William Hollis and Susan Catherine Boring, Susan Catherine was born in Franklin Twp. in Huntingdon Co., PA. Her parents, Isiah Boring andMary Eve Hartlein came from Baltimore Co., Maryland.Gilbert Hollis's Mother was, Anne Elizabeth Kessler, daughter of Matthias Kessler and Nancy Coleman, who came from Blair County, Pennsylvania and settled in CambriaCounty, Pennsylvania
Bessie's Beers's parents were Samuel H. Beers and Sara Elizabeth Troxell, daughter of Alexander Troxell and Matilda Jane Gates.
All these families were residing inReade and White Twps. in Cambria Co. Pennsylvania, in the 1800 and 1900's.
I have put most of what I have found in the following Book, and , also seperate Descendent reports on my main familes.
In researching, I have come upon numerous other families intermarried with my ancestors.....Among them the folowing families:Apple, Baker, Beck, Berringer, Bowman, Brubaker, Esch,
Frye, Glasgow, Harpster, Hollen, Keith, Kuhn, Nagle, Shomo,Thomas, to name a few.
