The Saunders/Warner Family Tree:Information about Margaret Trivet
Margaret Trivet (d. 1420)
Notes for Margaret Trivet:
Heiress of her brother:
The estate of Woolmersdon in North Petherton was divided by 1338 between Joan, daughter of John of Woolmersdon and wife of Vincent Trivet, Susan, possibly her sister, wife of Edmund Trivet, and Rose, probably John's widow. Edmund and Susan sold their share and their reversion of Rose's interest to Peter Trivet, Edmund's brother, in 1337. Peter was dead by 1377 when his son John held lands in Woolmersdon and Hadworthy. (Footnote 75) John's son Peter died without issue before 1420 and his heirs were probably his sisters Joan, wife of Roger Pym, and Margaret, wife of Roger Tremayle.
---
In the second half of the 15th Century the manor of Blackmoor was in the hands on the Tremayle family and no doubt they built the present manor house. This family came from Sidbury, Devon and had been settled there from an earlier period.
One of them married Margaret, daughter and co-heiress with her sister, Joan, who was the wife of Roger Pym of Brymore, Cannington, of John Trivet of Sidbury.
---
Her sister Joan Trivett married Roger Pym about 1410 and lived at Sidbury Manor.
Children of Margaret Trivet and Roger Tremayle are:
- +John Tremayle, d. date unknown.
