Homer Smith Lamb severed in the US Air Force during the Korean war and retired with 30+ years of active duty as a Master Sargent.He was personal assistant to the US Air Force Inspector General and flew over the world in this capacity.He was a part of the 1950 Greene County High School Class even though he enlisted in the USAF before high shool graduation.
After retiring from the USAF he was an employee of the US Post Office Department for many years before retiring with 20+ years service.
