Tracing the family of James Dallas Sheriff who arrived in South Australia from Dundee, Scotland in 1867.He married Ellen Mary Mewett in 1875 and they were pioneer settlers at Nurcoung, Victoria, Australia in 1880.
They had 9 children Jessie (Brooksby), Christina Jane (Redford), Charles, Martha Ellen Rebecca (Redford), James, Andrew Thomas, Lillian, William Alexander and David Robert.
