Samuel White (son of Solomon White and Rhoda Braman) was born October 12, 1791 in Randolph, Massachusettes, and died 1864 in Starkey, Yates, New York buried Rock Stream Cemetary.He married Henrietta Taylor on August 26, 1826, daughter of John Taylor and Sarah Ackley.
Notes for Samuel White:
He graduated from Dartmouth in 1812, graduated from Andover Theological Seminary in 1815. He was Presbyterian and a Reverend. He organized many churches along Keuka Lake (one of the finger lakes) in New York. He preached for a while in a little white church in Rock Stream, New York.

Rev. Samuel White was one of two sons of Solomon and Rhoda (Braman) White of Randolph, Massachusetts. To his mother, left early a widow, his early education was due. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1812, and from Andover Theological Seminary in 1815. He soon after came to western NY, and was ordained by the Presbytery of Geneva, pastor of the church at Williamson. In 1824, he came to the Town of Starkey, Yates Co., NY, and during the next 7 years by his untiring labors, Presbyterian churches were established in Barrington, Dundee and Rock Stream. In 1831, he moved to Pultney, where he stayed nearly two years. In 1839, he was principal of Ovid Academy and in 1842-43, he was a classical teacher at Starkey Seminary. His last years were spent on a farm near Rock Stream, Yates Co., NY. On p. 1129 of the History, it states Samuel White was a member of the Reading Masonic Lodge, established in 1824 at Dundee.
