"Levi Jackson was the first county Judge in Laurel County which is why the
Wilderness Trail Park was named after him, and William Jackson, Levi's
brother, was the High Sheriff of Kentucky and Indiana, when he moved there.
Rueben was a farmer and also owned the Jackson water mill in Laurel County
where his son Isaac worked after he got married."
