He met his wife Marry Louise Gabriel at a bar that he and his friends were at and they dated for a year, he proposed to Mary in 1939. They were married 1940. By 1941 They had moved to Greensburg bought a house and raised there three children . The 1st child born to them was Frank 1948, James Howard III 1950, and Donna 1954. His Funeral was held at the Bacha Funeral Home, Greensburg, PA. Blessing Service was held also at the funeral home followed by a mass in the church of St. Paul, Greensburg, PA. He was buried in a Entombment with full Military service that was provided by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard, at the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hempfield Township, PA.
