I think it likely Nancy is the daughter of John Wesley Floyd in these notes, and therefore a cousin of her husband's. I also think she is Nancy Hawes Floyd, named for her aunt.
In addition, the site, "Our Family: Hess, Harlan, Harvey, Lobdell and ancestors," on the Web, 2003,<JK21@SK@aol.com>, gives her father as "John Floyd"and her mother as "Elizabeth." John is given as the son of Charles and Mary Stewart Floyd.

The references to living in Clinton Co. and moving to Texas in 1852, then returning to Illinois in 1866 are about Charles Wesley Floyd.

The census for Beaver Creek, Bond Co., Illinois, taken on June 15, 1870 shows Sarah Floyd, age 37 yrs, b. Illinois, a widow with three children:Mary 14 yrs; Wallingford 11 yrs; Benjamin W. 4 yrs.
It is possible that John S. Floyd may have died in the Civil War if you take into consideration the time from the 1860 census and the birth of their last son Benjamin.
