Isaac Daw (b. 1748, d. September 17, 1807)Isaac Daw (son of Absalom Daw and <Unnamed>) was born 1748 in Cornwall, England, and died September 17, 1807.He married Rebecca BEAUCHAMP on 1774 in Bareneed, NF, daughter of John BEAUCHAMP and Elizabeth Bowden.

His father purchased property and in 1773, Isaac receive d a parcel by deed from his father.He registered the prop erty in 1773 and lived on it .

"In 1770, Isaac Daw, an immigrant from England, purchased t he western portion of the Anthony plantation.Family tradi tion states that he came from Cornwall and had an agricultu ral background.Thus, he apparently established a new Da w family in the area.Isaac was the first Port de Grave re sident to acquire an agricultural grant for land north of h is fishing plantation which is still referred to as "The Fa rm".Sons of original Isaac lived at North East Cove wher e foundations of their homesteads can still be seen.Late r generations established at Coley's Point and Bay Roberts .By the early 1800's, the Daw family had become the large st in Port de Grave."
