Robert StewartII, King of Scotland (b. 02 Mar 1316, d. 19 Apr 1390)
Notes for Robert StewartII, King of Scotland:
He succeeded to the title of 7th High Steard of Scotland on April 9, 1327. He fought in the Battle of Halidon Hill on July 19, 1333 at Halidon Hill, Scotland, where he was in command. He held the office of Regent of Scotland between 1338 and 1341. He was created 1st Earl of Atholl (Scotland) on February 16, 1341. He was created 1st Earl of Strathearn on April 18, 1369. He gained the title of Earl of Strathearn on April 4, 1370. He succeeded to the title of King Robert II of Scotland on February 13, 1371. He was crowned King of Scotland on March 26, 1371 at Scone Abbey, Scone, Perthshire. Before his accession, he had been successively joint and sole regent in David II's absence. During his reign, from 1384, his two sons were the real rulers for their unmilitary father.
