This couple are the Great Grandparents of the author of this page. The photo was taken near their home in Blean, Kent in about 1923. William's life spanned 1840 to 1924 while Anne's life spanned 1845 to 1924.They lived out the majority of their lives in Blean, Kent, England and are buried in the Church of England Parish Church Yard.They had nine children including six sons and three daughters.William Spencer TILBE was Master Wheelwright and apprenticed many of his sons in that trade. One son, Archibald Ethelbert TILBE emmigrated to Canada in 1913 while a grandson, Stanley Stuart Tilbe, emmigrated to Queensland, Australia.

Rev. John SMITH was the Maternal Great Grandfather of the Author and this Portrait was taken about two years before his death in 1915.Rev. SMITH was a Primitive Methodist Minister and Missionary. His Missionary work mainly occured in Aliwal North, Cape Town, South Africa. He and his second wife Fanny Elizabeth (JEARY) had seven children; two daughters and five sons. One son, Edwin William SMITH was a Weslyan Methodist Miniter & Missionary in Northern Rhodesia. Two sons Stanley Harold and Arnold Morley emmigrated to Canada. Arnold stopped first in Chicago, where he married before moving to Winnipeg. Stanley moved to Alberta where he continued the butcher trade that he learned from the JEARY Family in Martham, Norfolk, England.

This is the author's wife's Paternal Greatgrandmother, Susanna Maria (nee Kerton) DURSTON and is the only know photo of her in the possession of the family in Canada. The photo is believed to have been taken in about 1930. She died in 1935, in East Brent, Somerset, England at the age of 86.

This is the front of the small Family Farm Home of Stanley Harold SMITH and his wife Florence Matilda (nee ARGENT)located on their farm at Springridge Alberta. The main structure of the home was built from white pine logs. The author and his siblings spent many summer vacations at the farm, living in this home. Sadly the building was torn down by the new owners of the farm.

This a photo of the front right side of IVY HOLME, which was the family home of the JEARY Family in Martham, Norfolk for made years in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The author's mother along with her mother and some of her siblings lived here during W.W.I.. The author, his wife and parents visited it in 1974 but it had been sold and removed when the author and his wife Sharon returned in 1994.
