Kimsery of the Memorial Baptist Church,2129 WestWalnut Street, Indianapolis, Indiana on the 14 February 1954 .Phyllis was born in Marco, Indiana on the 17 Oct. 1935.Donald retired from the Army after over 27 years of service on 1st February 1979 with Rank of Sgt. Maj. in the Army Medical field . Donald was in the Korean War (1952 to 1953)and the Vietanam War. (1969to 1970).He was also served in SchofieldBarracks, Hawaii,(1951) Japan, Germany (1955 to 1956), France (1958 to 1961), Korea 1964 to 1965). He was station in the United States inCamp Custer,Mich.,Camp Stoneman, California,Camp Atterbury, Indiana,Ft Sheridan, Illinois, Ft Dix, New Jersey,Fort Lednard Wood, Missouri, Fitzsimons General Hospital, Denver,Colo.,Fort Lewis, Washington,Fort Riley, Kansas, and Brook Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Huston, Texas. He then worked with his wife Phyllis in the Ceramic business until 1988 when he retired. Donald had Heart Surgey inJuly 1991.Sgt MajTucker was awarded the following awards and medals The Legion of Merit, The Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal W1OLC, Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/1 Silver Star, Korean Service Medal W/3 Bronze Stars, United Nations Service Medal, Republic Of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Commendation,Republic Of Vietnam Gallantry Cross W/Palm, Good Conduct Medal 9 times, and Expert Badge(Rifle).Donald and Phyllis Tucker lived in San Antonio, Texas after he retired from the Army.Phyllis passed away on the 28 February 2007. They had been married 53 Years.

Phyllis and Donald met on a bus, she was working in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was station in the Army at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.They would ride the bus home on weekends.She would go home to Marco, Indiana and he would go to Vencennes, Indiana. Phyllis worked for the Army from 1965 to 1977 at Fort Riley, Kansas. She had a Ceramic shop with her husband from 1979 to 1989 in San Antonio,Texas. She worked for Country Side Ceramics from 1989 to 2001, at which time she retired.
