I am researching the Wright families of Botetourt and Allegheny Counties, Virginia.
Charles Wright was my 3rd great grandfather.He married Eunice Caldwell (dau of Hugh Caldwell and Rutha Holstein) on September 11, 1817 in Botetourt County, Virginia.I don't know who his parents were.
Family tradition states that he was a descendant of Peter Wright but I haven't been able to connect.Another tradition states that Charle's father left him with a family named MANN, and then went West, never to be heard from again.
Fincastle court records show he was an orphan but the father's name is omitted in the initial record.A second record states he is the son of Charles.
Charles and Eunice had the following children:Mary Elizabeth, Hugh Caldwell, Samuel E., Anne, and James.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.I do have more information on the descendants of Charles and Eunice.Can you help me find my Charles?
