san pedro sula,Honduras
|Hi !! I am trying to find out the origins of my familiy's surnamewhich is VILLELA. There are not many Villela's in the country I was born in, which is Honduras in Central America. As far as I know my descendants arrived in the middle of the XIX century to a tiny town in western Honduras called Sinuapa. Supposedly they arrived from Guatemala, but I'm not sure about it. If you have any information regarding this last name, please e-mail me, or call me or fax me.The earliest information that I have is that two brothers whose last name was Villela arrived into a town in Guatemala called Esquipulas to work in some silver mines. They were coming from Spain and this happened in the early XIX century. One of these brothers moved to Sinuapa, Honduras, and two centuries later here I am, trying to find out who they were and where they came from.|
I am also interested in finding out my mother's last name which is Ramos. She is originally from a small town in Western Honduras called Santa Ana, and her father's name was Constantino Ramos and he was from a town named Dulce Nombre de Copan. Constantino Ramos died in 1933 in a flood in Ocotepeque, Honduras, when my mother was 1 year old.
