Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn for the late Filmore A. Squires, 87, a resident nearly all his life of the Auburn community.
He died shortly before 11 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mar. Harry Julian of Muskegon, Mich. where he and his wife had resided for about a years.
The Rev. Van W. Hinckley, pastor of the Methodist church in Auburn, will officiate at Tuesday's rites with burial in Evergreen cemetery. The body arrived in the city late Saturday from Muskegon.
Mr. Squires death was attributed to complications and senility. He was in poor health for about two years. He was a native of DeKalb county. After his retirement from farming, he resided with his wife in Auburn until about a year ago. Note: written on obit Oct 18, 1948. (Re: Obituary Book, vol 3, page 20)
