William Heflin raised blood hounds on a large farm near Leesburg and the Potomac River.His farm used to be called Oaklawn but is now called Rock Hill.Part of his farm consisted of a large island in the middle of the Potomac, where he raised 200 horses.He was killed by a horse kicking him.
