|The colorful cast of characters I am researching are members of the following families:EVANS, SCHNEIDER, COMERFORD, LYON, EATON, NICHOLS, LEWIS, PARTON, HENDRICKS, ALLEN, JULIAN, STOVER, WHEELER AND REEVES.The EVANS family is Welsh. In 1811, Israel Evans was born in Pennsylvania. He married Chloe PARKIS and moved in 1854 to Kankakee County, Illinois. His son, W.H. EVANS married Lucinda COMERFORD who was born in 1833 in Ireland.Their son George (1866) married Anna SCHNEIDER (1867) whose parents came from Germany.|
The LYON, EATON, NICHOLS AND LEWIS families lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana during the 1800's.
The PARTON, HENDRICKS, and ALLEN families are from Pulaski County, Kentucky.I have traced this branch back to 1855.
The JULIAN family originated in France. They were French Huguenots who came to South Carolina in the late 1600's.They lived in Maryland until early 1800 when they moved to Ohio (Fairfield Co.).Oliver JULIAN married Cora Mae STOVER in 1896.Cora Mae's family can be traced to Switzerland.
I am interested in any information on any of these families.I will happily share any information that I have. The surnames listed above are spelled using the spellings that my grandparents used. There are many alternate spellings for each surname. Also some information is based on other researchers.I do not have primary sources for all the information. Please use what you can and contact me if you have any questions about primary sources or if you can give me any additional leads.Thank you and good luck.
