|For those that are searching their "Walker" or other Family roots and have found this modest site, I would like to welcome you to this old evolution of family history. I know it has been said before, but, If they had not survived through this almost "impossible to survive life", We would not be here to tell thier Story. I have no idea what the life expectency is of man from the time of unwritten history and the begining of our noble ancestor's time until present day, but from the 17th century on it was hit and miss, make no mistake about it! The fact is, if our's survival wasn't so you wouldn't expect to see it here in the pages of our courageous ancestors. |
Everyone that has the oportunity to see this work has certainly felt the same way I have when composing their work.I started out on this life's endevour many years ago with the stimulus of my dear cousin Carol Ann Walker Horvath. My expectation is to complete this work for my Dear Mother and Father before their life on this earth is complete. It is meant to be a tribute to their patience and love that has brought me to where I am today. It is also a work that will, hopefully, enlighten all of our family members to the importance of who we are and why are we still here.
I want to thank all my family and long lost cousins out there that have helped and contributed to this work. Love you all.
I am researching the following Family names: WALKER, BENNETT, TODD, MCCURRY as well as BONSER, SWANN, SIMMONS, JETT, RICE and others.
If, after reading this work, you feel that you belong to any of these families, please drop me a line. In fact Drop me a line anyway, I always enjoy company.
Destiny is summed up, quit rightly, in this Poem by Edward Fitgerald (1809-1883):
'Tis all a Chequer-board of Nights and Days
Where Destiny with Men for Pieces plays:
Hither and thither moves, and mates, and slays,
And one by one back in the Closet lays.
Daniel Defoe (The Author of Robinson Carusoe)
Great Families of yesterday we show,
And Lords whose parents were the Lord knows who.
