The following is an excerpt, by C. N. Sinnett, from the Durham ME. marriage records:"Their marriage was Published Nov. 16, 1799. The s'd publishment underwritten ye 28th day of s'd marriage by Solomon Tracey, Jr., and the same day which was Thanksgiving, the s'd Joseph Orr took the s'd Hannah Tracey by the right hand in the presence of Parson Herrick and the congregation, , and declared before God and the assembly she to behis lawful wife, and he to be her faithful husband in health andsickness, During life, and she in like manner repeated the same words.Attestt, Martin Rourk, Town Clerk."
