August 1784 Lived in Granville County, SC, on the Savannah and Cowahatitchie Rivers, where he had a South Carolina Land Grant.
October 29, 1788 - Place of residence is Greenville Co., South Carolina where a purchase of land on Horse Creek from Shadrack Chandler was made.Another transaction was made in 1795, Thomas Townsend purchased 112 acres on land on Horse Creek, a part of the land originally granted to Jesse Chandler and Hewlett Sullivent, by Jesse WEBB.Peyton Nowlin was a witness.
1790 U.S. Census of the 96th District, Greenville Co., South Carolina, Jesse WEBB is listed as a head of a family consisting of two free white males under sixteen, one free white male over 16, and three free white females. 1790c pg. 70
1795 - Sold land adjoining Peyton Nowlin (Husband of Didama's sister Lucy) to father-in-law in Greenville.
March 16, 1801 - Jesse and Didama evidently made a journey to Kentucky with Anaphilda Townsend and her contingent as they acquired land in Logan Co., on the south side of Red River.They bought 87 acres, 60 acres of land owned by John Bailey and 27 acres of land owned by Jabus Townsend.
13 October 1803 - Jesse WEBB, of Lincoln Co., KY, one part, and Stephen TATE, 85 pounds pd, tr being on S side on N fork of Red river, being 87 acres (& to include all land conv to sd Webb by joint deed from John Bailey & Joushua Townsend, being opposite to Mathew Alexander Plantation, Tr being near old path leading from Harrison's mill to Hugh McMullin.Wit: Rubin Bailey, Light Townsend, Jabish Townsend. 1830 U.S. Census of Warren Co., TN list a Jesse WEBB as follows: Males; 1 each 0-5, 1 each 5-10, 2 each 10-15, 1 each 15-20, 1 each 20-30, and 1 each 60-70, Females; 1 each 60-70.
10 Jan 1835 - Will of Jesse WEBB, Sr. ; Will names wife Didama, son Townsend Webb, John Webb, Jesse Webb, James Webb, and Ira Webb; daughters Celia Bailey, Nancy Burks, Didama Womack, Sally Clark, Elizabeth Hopper, and Lucinda Nowlin; Grandson Austin Webb.Witnessed by George Ballard, Jonas Webb, John Ellis, and Absalom Clark.[Warren Co., TN Will Book 1 pg. 101]

...after all my just debts is paid the balance I give to my beloved wife Didama for her fully to possess and enjoy during her life time or widowhood and at her death or marriage the remainder part to be divided as follows I bequeath unto my son Townsend Webb ten dollars also unto my daughter Celia Bailey one hundred dollars also unto my daughter Nancy Burks one hundred dollars and also unto my daughter Didama Womack one hundred dollars and also unto my daughter Sally Clark one hundred dollars and also unto my daughter Elizabeth Hopper and her heirs one hundred dollars and also unto my daughter Lucinda Nowlin one hundred dollars and for my four sons (to wit) John Webb Jesse Webb James Webb and Ira Webb have received a recompense each to that amount in land except John him to have fifty dollars then and I also bequeath unto my grandson Austin Webb the son of Townsend Webb deceased one horse saddle and bridle to be worth seventy five dollars in trade to be paid to him when he is nineteen years old then the balance to be equally divided between all the lawful heirs of my body and I do also appoint my sons Jesse and Ira Webb my true and lawful executors for me intestamony whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal as my last will and testament signed sealed and acknowledged in the presence of this being the 10th of January 1835

State of Tennessee Warren Co. April Sessions A D 1835 of the Court of pleas and quarter Sessions in and for Warren County aforesaid and sixth day of said month this the last will and testament of Jesse Webb deceased was produced in open court by Jesse Webb and Ira Webb appointed therein as executors and offered the same for probate whereupon Jonas Webb John Ellis and Absolom Clark came into open Court and made oath that they saw him sign and seal and publish the same as his last will and testament and that he was in sound mind and disposing memory at the time of doing the same and that they attested the same at his request and in his presence whereupon the court ordered letters of testamentary to issueand that the same be certified for registration
Given under my hand at office in McMinnville this 6th day of April A D 1835
6 Apr 1835 - Will Probated by Jesse Webb, Jr. and Ira Webb. Witnesses Jonas Webb, John Ellis, and Absalom Clark made oath that they saw him sign same and that he was of sound mind at the time. [Warren Co., TN Will Book 1 pg. 102]
