The June 1803 session of the County Court lists a Nuncupative will, (death bed Verbal) of Peter Webb.A James Exum swore before the court that Peter Webb had died on April, 11, 1803, giving him a verbal request, wishing that William Webb be given 40 or 50 bushels of corn, and John Webb his brother, be given Peters bed. No wife or children were mentioned, which could mean he was a widower without children, or a bachelor. The will of John Webb indicates that Peter was a minor in 1778. Peters brother Elisha was the executor of their fathers estate, and the will indicated the desire of the father that Peter be clothed out of his estate until reaching the age of 20. |
