Freida:I am sending a copy of the two tintypes (Elmira Bell Heavilin as a baby and a young William D. Copple), a group photo from about 1940 showing all William D.'s children except Stellla who passed away as a small child, two photos of Eleanor Copple and sisters and copy of an old photo, not in good shape, of the Heavilin's taken when they were older. They are the ones who raised Iantha Copple Sanborn.Iantha never appears in the photos I have.I am afraid the quality of mine is not as good as yours, but I can certainly see the resemblance between William D. and Rose (in the photo you sent of Sarah Ann and Rose).
While I'm writing I would like to ask a question.Where does the Indian blood that my grandmother and mother talked about come from.? I think I see it in Sarah Ann and Rose.I understand that the Fouts are from Germany (Pfautz) as were the Copples originally. But as I was growing up there were many references to my Indian ancestry, but if I heard which ancester I don't remember. Thanks again.Linda
