According to a history of Elder Daniel Williams speech given by Mrs. C. K.Stacy for the 1955 DAR ceremony dedicating a monument at the graves of Daniel and Violet Williams, "Their fourth son, John T., was one of the Justices of the Peace appointed by Governor Adair to set up the County of Morgan in 1822.He became known as Squire John T. and lived on Williams Creek of Elk Fork.A part of his old home is still standing on his farm now owned by Bruce Williams, a descendant."
