James Ellard, Jr. and family lived on Tallulah River in Bryan's
Militia District of Haberhsam CO. This land is now covered by the waters

received land grants.
No marriage records have been found for James Ellard Jr. In her
notes, Clyde M. Ellard stated that Charity Boatwright was his second
wife. In teh book "A Collection of Upper SC Genealogy and Family Records,
" by James E. Wooley Vol 1 pg 222 shows a list of the children of
Benjamin Starrett and his wife Cynthia included Patsy who was married to
James Ellard. The guess that this James Ellard was Jr. and that Patsy
died after the birth of Amos is guess work.
