Samuel is buried to the right of his father-in-law, James Molohon Jr. Just to the right of James Molohon you will find a headstone that reads:
In memory of SAMUEL SIMMS who died on June 29th in 1833 at the age of 51 years. The headstone bears a cross in the center at the top. Samuel probably died from cholera. In the group of four of four family members, Samuel died first.
Samuel served as a witness when James became indentured for land in 1809.
There is a possibility that Samuel Simms is also historically known as Samuel Milburn Semmes. If this is the case, but not yet proven completely, but must be researched much further, then his family may continue ancestrally as notated in this family history.
